Sunday morning we woke up and went out for a run around the lake in Central Park. I called it "The Sex and The City run", everybody who watch Sex and the City knows what i'm talking about! ;)

It was beautiful to run there!
I took these pictures today so it wasn't as much people out becauze it's monday. Yesterday there were hundreds of people jogging around the lake!

In the afternoon we took the metro down to Soho becauze Bella had a giftcard at "FACE Stockholm" (yes, they have that store here too!) that she wanted to use. We had lunch down there and then we went back home and I went out with her mom instead. We went to the Swedish Café "FIKA", I've heard about it before but I hadn't been there before so it was fun! It was weird to walk in and there and be able to talk Swedish with the people who worked there! They had "chokladbollar" = "chocolate balls"!!

Here are some pictures of the view from Bella's apartment.

We had a nice dinner in their apartment!
Bella and her boyfriend Omar
Today Bella had school but I stayed home all morning and met her for lunch! We had sushi and I got to meet some of her friends, it was fun!

Now... we just had dinner and now were watching Grease on tv!! We are singing along to ALL the songs! ;)

Tomorrow morning we're getting up really early! I am going with Bella's class to the beach in Coney Island all day!! The weather is supposed to be awesome so we're pretty excited!

I can't believe tomorrow is my last day in the US... I'm flying home tomorrow night!!!

I'm at Bella's place!!

Heey!
I'm sorry I'm so bad at updating... It's always so much going on and whenever I have time to blog I'm just too tired!!!

A lot of things have happened since last time!
Mom, Madde, and Elisabeth flew home 2 days ago. We had some great days here in NYC with a lot of shopping but also some relaxing in the sun i Central Park!
Right now I'm living with my friend Bella and her family. She is also from Sweden and she moved here a couple of years ago, we used to go in the same class before she moved.

I moved in to her on Saturday, after the others left, around noon. We hanged out in her apartment for a while and then we went to a drop in jazz dance class! It was so much fun!! It was at a dance school called Steps and when I walked in there it felt like it was taken from the "Step Up" movies, I loved it!

On Saturday night she took me to a really cool Mexican restaurant called Dos Caminos in downtown in an area called the Meatpacking district.

Afterwards we walked down to The High Line! It's "park" built on a section of a former railroad that used to go along the lower west side of Manhattan.
Have you seen the movie I Am Legend with Will Smith? I thought about that movie when I walked there, it was a cool feeling!

This picture is taken by the windows you can see on the picture below.
We walked by Chelsea piers too.. You see the net to the left, that's were you go to "play golf" on Manhattan.

Later that night we met Omar, Bella's boyfriend, and we went to see the new Shrek 3D movie. It was hilarious!! (Don't worry Madde, I proooomise I'll go see it with you when I get home too!) ;) After that they took me to Cold Stone, it's a famous American ice cream place that they couldn't believe that I hadn't been to before. It was really cool and the people that worked there danced, sang, and we're basically throwing around the ice cream while they served you! It was a lot of fun!

We're in NYC now!

Hey guys!
We're in NYC now! It's been a really looong day.. We woke up at 4:30 and our flight left San Diego airport at 8:30. It took us almost 6 hours to fly to New York so we where pretty tired when we got there. It's amazing how big America is!!

Me and Madde are very different when it comes to packing our bags.. She loves to pack! She gets super excited when she gets to pack her bags.. Me on the other hand HATES IT!! It's so boring and I always have to much stuff to fit in those stupid bags...

This is my "I really don't like to pack face"
But I was actually really lucky last night, because after we Mom took this picture Madde started to help me! She is a really nice sister sometimes (Just kidding!)

Okay so after we landed at Newark airport we got our bags pretty quick and then we went with outside with our chauffeur who would drive us to the hotel. Mom thought she had booked a minivan for us to the hotel but when soon we discovered that it wasn't a minivan.. it was a cool white limo!!! We got really surprised and very excited!
Mom asked the driver over and over again if he was sure it this was what she had booked.. He answered "yes yes this is a minivan". It was funny!
So he drove us to our usuall hotel (because we found out yesterday that the apartment we though we had booked didn't exist!) Radio City apartments. The weather is really bad here, the rain was pouring down when we came but it's hopefuly getting better til tomorrow!

After we checked in we went out and found a nice Italian restaurant that had Gluten Free pasta (that makes me so happy!!). After our dinner we walked a little bit around Times Square before we headed back to the hotel to sleep!
All of us are exhausted!!! Goodnight!

Here are some more pictures!

I just had to take a picture of this cute police car!

And some pictures from Times Square...

San Diego

We drove from L.A. to San Diego today! It took a lot longer than we thought it would because of traffic jam, but we finally got here around 3 in the afternoon. We were lucky and found a nice hotel next to a huge harbour and with a beautiful view over the San Diego skyline. I will take lots of pictures tomorrow so I can show you guys!
Then we relaxed for a couple of hours and me and Madde went to the pool for a while.

They have parrots outside around the hotel area!
We are ready for bed now! Tomorrow we will explore the city on our own (we are so tired sightseeing buses by now!).
I will log in on skype when we wake up in the morning, so grandma, grandpa and Amanda be ready if you want to talk!!! Love!

Morning walk in Santa Monica

Pictures from yesterday!

Here are some pictures from yesterday! We relaxed in the morning and then we took a "jump on jump off" sightseeing bus around L.A.
It's hard to see in this picture, but in the background they had a big outdoor gym in the sand! It was really cool and a lot of people were working out there!

Of course the bus drove us by the Walk of Fame!
Mickey Mouse
We stopped at "The Grove" for a couple of hours too! It's a a big outdoor shopping mall with lots of stores and restaurants! This green trolly were driving back and forth from The Grove to L.A.'s Farmers Market.
Look at the tall palm trees!

I thought this sign was funny, it was standing next to an old guy who were singing and playing the guitar!
We went shopping at Whole Foods and got Ben&Jerrys, candy and pretzels for dinner!

Sunset at Santa Monica beach

Here are some pictures from the sunset at the beach! It was so beautiful!

This is how happy we are when we eat Thai food!!

L.A.

Hey! (Internet has been reallt slow here so I've been unable to blog.. sorry!)

Here are pictures from the last couple of days!
On our way to L.A. we stopped in a really cute town called Los Olivos to eat brunch.
In the early afternoon we reached Santa Monica, L.A., it took longer than we thought because of the crazy trafic around here!
We live in a little hotel very close to the beach. Our rooms are decorated with IKEA furniture, so it feels really Scandinavian!
The beach is huge, police cars and rescue cars are driving around all over it!
Santa Monica Pier
We ate seafood at Bubba Gump (Forest Gump restaurant) the first night. It was really good!
We live 5 blocks from the shopping district, we usually end up there every night.

Our second day in L.A. we went to Universal Studios. We wrote the adress on our GPS and mom drove there. Elisabeth spent the day relaxing on the beach in Santa Monica!

We got "Front of the Line" passes, so we could skip the long lines to the rides and we got VIP seating at the showes.
Madde outside The House of Horror! This house was scary!!
Mom was hold my arm so hard that it left a mark afterwards!
I don't know what mom did to make this picture black/white.. Can you see me and Madde in the back left corner?!
A water show
I met Bart Simpsons!

The coolest thing was the "Studio Tour". We sat on a train that took us "behind the scenes" of different movies and tv-showes.
Hoville from The Grinch

We drove up Wisteria Lane, this is Gaby's house! (It's from Desperate Housewives)
Outside the park
I felt a strong need to run down the red carpet!
On the way back to the hotel we saw the Hollywood Sign!
